Job DescriptionReporting to Regional Director of Talent & Culture, you will lead Fairmont Century Plaza’s strategy to identify “best in class” talent to join the organization & develop, initiate and maintain effective programs for workforce retention, promotion and succession planning.
You are a collaborative leader and are able to work independently as well as part of a team and are responsible for the broad oversight of Talent Acquisition and Talent Management activities and lead the roll-out of the new Talent Acquisition platform to the Southern California regional hub partnering with Corporate team to train and educate field hiring teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, develop, and implement an effective Talent Acquisition strategy and partnering with senior leadership and hiring teams to identify critical talent needs, conduct skills gap analyses, create targeted pipelines and programs.
- Responsible for reporting of recruitment, talent, and employment and communicating data to members of the organization
- Partner with Hiring Managers, Senior Leadership the Regional Director of Talent & Culture to ensure policies are followed and candidates receive an engaging and informed experience while in the selection process.
- Monitor recruitment procedures, from sourcing to hiring, and identify high-potential candidates across a wide range of roles from leadership to hourly colleagues
- Engagingly process candidates through the candidate workflow; including but not limited to reviewing candidates, conducting interviews, verifying references and facilitating offers of employment
- Identify and implement innovative ways to source candidates and to develop partnerships to build talent pipelines (i.e. colleges, specialty organizations), attend career fairs and networking events
- Become the Subject Matter Expert (SME) in INES, the in-house application which houses the Learning and Development Academy, Talent Management, and Talent Acquisition platforms
- Plan & manage regular employee performance evaluations.
- Develop employee retention programs and refine policies to support internal promotions, build succession plans and discuss career-path options with high-potential employees and their team leaders.
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred but not required
Qualifications
- Proven work experience as a Talent Acquisition Manager or similar role with a minimum of 5 years of experience within an Executive Recruiter, Talent Management Manager role
- Bachelors or Master’s Degree in Human Resources, Business, Organizational Psychology or a relevant field of work or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience.
- In depth knowledge of hiring processes, skill development, and organizational analysis frameworks.
- Experience partnering and influencing senior hiring managers and executives throughout the recruitment cycle.
- Experience in luxury hospitality operations recruitment is an asset
- Strong computer skills, proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.) and Applicant
- Hands-on experience with Human Resources applications for Talent Acquisition (Applicant Tracking Systems, LinkedIn Recruiters) & Performance Management software.
- Proven organization skills, works well on own initiative and as a team, able to set and meet deadlines with quality results
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient at using software and leveraging technology for talent acquisition processes.
- Analytical mindset, and critical thinking abilities.
- Skilled at negotiation, presentation, and execution.
- Strong networking and relationship-building skills.
