As a Service Advisor, you will meet with customers, determine vehicle's repair or maintenance needs, use extensive product knowledge to present the customer with this information as well as relay the recommended solutions by the service technicians for their vehicle. You will be the face of the service department; in charge and responsible for making customers feel comfortable and relaxed during and throughout the car servicing process, ensuring that each and every customer feels that their thoughts are acknowledged and heard, and most importantly that customers feel that they are in good hands and being treated with respect. We know that this is no simple task; the right person is needed for all this to happen!

  • Oversee service orders and flow of Drive Lane. Ensure that customers receive prompt, courteous, and effective service
  • Take ownership of the customer's experience by carrying out those additional assignments that allow the dealership to leave a positive impression with the customer 
  • Provide concierge support for all owner inquiries, whether phone or in person, to assure the customer does not get mishandled
  • Determine and recommend needed maintenance based on age, mileage, and history
  • Prepare complete and accurate estimate of cost for labor and parts
  • Distribute work between technicians efficiently
  • Answer technical questions about vehicle problems, warranties, services, and repairs
  • Maintain Customer Success Index at or above company standards
  • Establish follow-up time
  • Monitor the progress of each vehicle throughout the day; updating customers frequently
  • Oversee administration of warranty claims as well as training and supervising of service department
  • Reinforces company policies and adheres to company standards
  • Encourages compliance with applicable laws and regulations
  • Explain all completed work and charges to customers
  • Verify that the final invoice reconciles with the work performed on the repair order


    Requirements, Qualifications, and Preferences

    • Very strong preference for candidates with experience in automotive or a similar industry
    • Organized and friendly personality
    • Highly advanced communication skills, both oral and written
    • Proven record of achieving exceptional customer satisfaction
    • Above average energy level
    • Preferred but not required: knowledge of vehicle mechanics
    • A desire for a long-term career with our growing organization
    • Personal and professional integrity
    • Passion to serve customers to the best of your abilities
    • Proficient computer skills; ability to comfortably use Microsoft Office products
    • Dealer Track experience is preferred
    • Time management skills
    • Fantastic communication skills with your customers
    • Professional, well-groomed personal appearance
    • Consistent record of service and sales success
    • Strong record of positive customer satisfaction results
    • Team oriented and self-motivated
    • Able to work with little supervision; independent, proactive
    • Ability to remain calm in high-tension situations; level-headed

    • Result orientated, team player
