SUMMARY OF POSITION:Responsible for processing Certificates of Deposit (CDs), Individual Retirement Accounts (IRAs), Health Savings Accounts (HSAs) and Business Accounts; performs file maintenance and validation of proper account closings; monitor Dormant Accounts; responding to telephone inquiries and requests from staff and customers concerning all deposit account products; issuing required IRA customer notices and information; and, providing backup support for various deposit operations functions and performing other specified duties.KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES: Responsible for CD and IRA transactions daily review: Monitors CD and IRA transactions and makes adjusting entries, as needed. Reviews daily transaction reports and makes necessary changes to accounts or retirement plans. Identifies errors and makes necessary corrections, as needed. Review new CD, IRA, HSA, and Business Accounts that have been opened in IBS Insight Core System: Promptly verifies account documentation recieved to the IBS Insight Core system accuracy. Directs documentation to Nautilus for proper retention. Performs file maintenances and validation of proper account closings: Accepts and reviews file maintenance request documents. Inputs change requests in IBS Insight and indexes document to Nautilus. Uploads irregular account closings in IBS Insight for Community Offices. Monitors CD, IRA, and HSA closings by reviewing dail reports for irregularities and proper coding of transactions. Balance CDARs and ICS Accounts. Balance and Remit funds for IOLTA Accounts. Issues customer notices and information: Processes corrections to all IRS required mailings; including annual statements, 1099-R, and 5498. Send notification letter to IRA customers of required minimum distribution requirement and issues distribution checks. Monitor Dormant Accounts; including review daily activity report and mailing notices. Scan, index, and process documentation. Assist Training Department with IRA, HSA, and Business training for Community Offices. Performs research requests. Responds to inquiries and requests from Community Offices and customers concerning deposit accounts: Answers inquiries from customers in a prompt and courteous manner. Provides information and assistance to Community Office and other bank personnel concerning CD, IRA, HSA, Checking, Savings, Money Management, and Business Accounts. Direct customer calls to appropriate department, as needed. Cross Trains on other functions within Deposit Operations; including, but not limited to: opening, closing, maintaining Landlord Residential Trust and Tenant Accounts in the Escrow Sub Accounting System, Customer Information File (CIF) review, processing consumer accounts.REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:At least one year of experience working within the banking industry is preferred.
