Full Charge Bookkeeper

We are looking to hire two or three data-driven bookkeepers for our team. You'll keep our general ledger up-to-date, ensure the accuracy of our financial information, and use QuickBooks for tracking. Candidates should be experienced problem-solvers, well-organized, detail-oriented, and time-efficient.

We have been in business since 2007. We are a full-charge accounting firm focusing on small businesses with less than $5 Million in revenue. We built this firm using our Dave Ramsey Endorsed Local Provider status as a foundation. We also offer tax preparation, tax planning, IRS representation, bookkeeping, payroll, and consulting needs on a monthly basis. We have clients that have a vast array of needs.

We are looking for someone that has the experience, is a great communicator, works well with a team, and enjoys helping people. As a good accountant/bookkeeper, you have to be detail-oriented and systems-driven, but that goes without saying! The ideal candidate would be a GL Accountant for a public firm that is looking for an opportunity to spread their wings and grow, but we value real-world experience most of all.

Responsibilities

• Prepare all financial statements and bank reconciliations
• Bookkeeping: Enter data, maintain records and produce financial reports
• Record day-to-day financial transactions and complete the posting process
• Make sure accounts receivable/payable are complete
• Oversee payroll so employees are paid accurately and in a timely manner
• Verify accuracy within day books and all ledgers

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field required
• Must be well-versed in general accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
• Worked previously with basic accounting systems, QuickBooks, and Excel
• Must exhibit exemplary problem-solving, communication, and time management skills
• At least 2 years of work experience at an accounting firm or as a cost accountant, management accountant, bookkeeper, or related position

Compensation

$20 hourly
