Art Director - Motion Graphics
Position Title: Art Director
Reporting to: Chief Executive Officer/Creative Director
Description of the job: The Art Director generally works in response to the Creative Director to produce designs and animations while managing the art department. He/she will be a leader in the field and able to advance the professional level of creativity, graphics and layouts for domestic and international clients in the advertising industry. He/she will also assure that the Company’s resources in the art department are effectively delegated, directed, and delivered on time.
Responsibilities of the Position:
Experience in title design and motion graphics branding.
Accomplishes art department work requirements by orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching employees.
Implements work standards by following production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolving operational problems; identifying work process improvements.
Meets art department cost standards by monitoring expenses; implementing cost-saving actions.
Formulates designs/animations by supervising workers engaged in executing designs for art work and copy to be presented by visual communications media.
Develop and review illustrative material for presentation.
Oversee project production factors by studying budget, background information, objectives, presentation approaches, styles, and techniques.
Project manage and represent an industry-leading internal creative agency known for developing innovative and buzz-worthy advertising opportunities for brands.
Create mood boards by selecting illustrative reference material.
Responds to client commentary and requests.
Improves quality results by studying, evaluating and re-designing processes while implementing changes.
Design and dissect storyboards and styleframe presentations.
Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
Enhances art department and organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
UI/UX design and animation is a plus.
Works with post-producers and post-supervisor to ensure on time deliveries.
Handling other duties as assigned.
Skills needed for the job:
Experienced in managing an art department.
Skilled in handling client relations.
Demonstrated ability to handle multiple complex projects simultaneously.
Experienced in using Google Suite products.
Experienced in After Effects, Adobe Creative Suite, Cinema 4D is not a must and Maya is a bonus.
Quality control for keeping a consistent look and maintaining consistent brand integrity.
A passion for organization and work accuracy.
Experienced in team coordination, formulating creative solutions, project management, organization, graphic design skills, animation, developing creative standards, and illustration tools, and multimedia content development.
7+ years experience at a creative agency/branded content studio/entertainment or brand marketing environment.

Title design and animation are key to this role. An artistic eye in composition, design, layout and animation is required. The ability to manage other artists and give design direction while also being able to execute one’s own vision is desirable. Comfort with hands on work while also giving direction to the art team is important.
The successful candidate will be a team player, a good listener, open to creative input, and have a strong ability to come up with his/her masterful designs. He/she will be detail-oriented, but also a big-picture visual thinker.
Education: College education or equivalent experience required. Graduation from a school with a major in design, animation or related field is desirable.
At least seven years’ experience designing and animating in 2D and 3D motion graphics.
Progressive career growth demonstrated.
Knowledge of the gaming industry. Mobile gaming experience preferred.
