Our Client is seeking a Science Exchange Product Manager that is an innovative, entrepreneurial product leader with a deep understanding of and experience with the Next Generation Science Standards who can build the company's effort to transform how states gain access to high-quality science assessment content. The Science Product Manager must have a strong science and business acumen, experience with proposal development, proven track record of managing projects independently, be collaborative and a team player, while having influential relationships in the science education community.

Expected Duties and Responsibilities
•With support and direction from the Vice President of Product Strategy and the Director of Science Programs, act as product owner of the Science Exchange, ensuring the operating and licensing model, product design, features, resources, and services deliver value to both contributing and subscribing customers in ways that foster participation, achieve mission objectives, and generate margin.
•Manage the product lifecycle of the Science Exchange and related products: act as the voice of the customer, researching and prioritizing customer requirements; define the product vision; create and maintain the product roadmap; work with the staff across the organization, including Assessment Design & Development, Psychometrics, Marketing, Operations, and Finance, to ensure product goals are met.
•Manage new product concept development, validating product concepts with prospective users, contributors, and influential stakeholders; conduct feasibility analyses of required assessment delivery supports, developing market and product requirements; developing and validating business cases. Conduct market and competitive research into the viability of new product offerings and product enhancements.
•Support marketing by developing product positioning, develop go-to-market, and annual product marketing plans. Support training and support of business development staff in their outreach to customers. Promotes the Science Exchange nationally, including speaking at national conferences and publishing white papers.
•Develop annual product plans and budget, including funding and resource requirements, risk assessment, and key performance indicators.
•Partners with Business Development in reviewing new business opportunities and contributes information about the Exchange to the writing of science proposals.
•Engages with partner organizations (e.g., NSTA, AAAS, and philanthropies) to communicate the value of the company Science exchange and garner their support.
Requirements and Experience
•Bachelor's degree in Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Earth/Environmental, Science Education, or related field required; Master's degree preferred.
•3+ years as a product manager in the field of science education, curriculum, publishing, or assessment.
•Experience conducting user and market research (primary and secondary) to inform and validate product concepts, value propositions, product positioning, features, and benefits.
•Experience leading and managing product design and development processes.
•Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
•Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
•Strong project management, collaboration, and communication skills.
•Ability to organize, prioritize, and effectively handle multiple priorities simultaneously.
•Strong desire to be innovative, take initiative, and ability to work independently as well as within teams.
•Travel to meetings and conferences as needed.
