Parts and Inventory Supervisor

Reports to Production Manager

Principal Duties:

• Responsible for supply chain management
• Procurement, price analysis and inventory control.
• Communicates with suppliers, manufactures and other vendors
• Looks for opportunities to manage cost and availability
• Strategically acquires regularly needed hard to come by parts for inventory

Daily Activity:

• Sources new and used General Aviation Parts needed by Avian Mechanics quickly
• Orders Correct parts as identified by the requesting mechanic or retail customer
• Maintains stock inventory levels
• Prices parts and correctly charges the customers and/or sales order
• Charge and collect applicable freight and tax
• Works directly with aircraft manufactures and parts distributers to receive parts timely at the lowest cost
• Is responsible for inventory levels, accuracy of inventory counts and valuation and periodic physical inventory
• Verifies correct part numbers for the application component, make, model and serial number for items being orders with mechanics.
• Maintains parts inventory records including but not limited to computer parts and price lists, cost and supplier invoices, markup and margin formulas,
• Accurately maintains, customer and vendor records
• Bills customers
• Maintains secure storage of customer purchased parts waiting for installation
• Manages warranty claims, returns and credits
• Posts owned new and used parts for sale, processes order, payments and shipping

Experience and Education:

• Supply chain management
• Aviation experience preferred
• High School Diploma required.
• 5 years relevant experience
