Mechanical Assembler

We are currently seeking a Mechanical Assembler in Vaughan, ON. This company is a complete single source supplier for all packaging and unitizing needs.Our client is a custom machine builder facility building packaging equipment, custom built and designed equipment, parts and service, maintenance equipment as well as refurbishing, repairing and modifying existing equipment.

Duties:

• Assemble and built conveyor belts and get ready for paint
• Read blueprint/mechanical drawings to assemble the conveyor belts and lines
• Use the right products and tools
• Ensure technical development of the assembled unit after control
• Check the conformity of the work and report any irregularities
• Do a status report of the work
• Plan and layout assembly sequence and procedures
• Build machinery electrical panels
• Route and run wire and cables
• Other Duties when required by supervisor

Qualifications:

• At least 1 year of experience with mechanical assembly (with Machinery/Conveyors)
• Ability to read and apply schematic diagrams and blue prints
• Working knowledge of pneumatic, hydraulic and mechanical experience
• Ability to use hand tools/power tools and electro-mechanical devices
• Experience with converting equipment or packaging equipment
• Must own basic hand tools
