Customer Service Representative/Call Center


  • Days: Monday - Friday
  • Pay: $15.25-16.25/hour, depending upon qualifications
  • Bilingual: Spanish- English $1.40/hr differential
  • Shift: Shift hours vary between 6:00 am - 7:00 pm
  • Long Term - Temp to Hire

We are seeking career-minded, passionate, and engaging candidates for Temp-Hire Customer Service Representative opportunities at Volkswagen Credit, Inc. in Hillsboro, OR . A successful applicant will possess outstanding customer service, demonstrate professional savvy in both technical and interpersonal skills, be highly team oriented, and have a strong commitment to excellence in the Call Center or Financial Services industries.

Primary job duties include:

  • Deliver low-effort service experiences, with fast, easy resolution to customer inquiries
  • Proactively control calls, providing customer guidance in issue resolution to help achieve one call resolution where possible
  • Quickly and efficiently determine customer needs and proactively provide concise, accurate, and complete solutions and responses to all customer inquiries
  • Maintain and perform comprehensive follow-up to ensure customer satisfaction, including setting accurate expectation
  • Provide payoff quotes on lease and retail accounts
  • Process pay-by-phone requests
  • Advise customers regarding tax and insurance obligations as it relates to their contract
  • Guide customers through the registration and titling changes associated with processes such as: state transfer, transfer of equity, lease assumption, lien release and lien assignment error
  • Update and verify all account maintenance information
  • Use discretionary decision making for payment arrangements, extensions, deferrals and due date changes
  • Determine initial verification of service member eligibility and gather applicable documents for processing

Required Qualifications:

  • Ability to multitask with phone, PC, multiple web-based applications in a fast-paced environment
  • Display passion for customer service
  • Excellent diction, articulation, negotiation, persuasion & listening skills
  • Ability to convey high level of confidence & credibility on the telephone
  • Able to function well in a team environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word & Excel
  • Type 30+ WPM (assessment required)

Highly Desired Qualifications:

  • 1-2 years prior call center experience or automotive related experience
  • Bilingual: Spanish - English


  • High school diploma / GED - Required
  • Bachelor’s degree - Desired

Work Flexibility

  • 6AM-7PM (must be available for training M-F 8-4:30 & at minimum the 10 am - 7 pm shift)
