Provides prompt, accurate, and courteous over-the-telephone service to members while processing routine
financial transactions, researching issues, and answering questions. Cross-sells credit union products and
services and makes referrals to a Loan Officer or to Financial Services as needed and/or directed.
The primary purpose of all positions is to assist credit union FCU in achieving its Mission Statement, “Building
relationships through valued financial solutions”. To achieve this mission, one must provide the highest quality
of service to both internal and external members. A critical component of this service is to identify the financial
needs of our members and offer them a Credit Union solution.
Experience: Six months to two years of similar or related experience.
Education: A high school education or GED
Interpersonal Skills: A significant level of trust and diplomacy is required, in addition to normal courtesy and
tact. Work involves extensive personal contact with others and/or is usually of a personal or
sensitive nature. Work may involve motivating or influencing others. Outside contacts become important and fostering sound relationships with other entities (companies and/or individuals) becomes necessary.
Other Skills: In between calls, provides numerous functions such as out-bound calls, notification of deposits, works reports, etc.
Assists in front line collection activities.
Regulatory Knowledge/Skills: Follows Credit Union procedures in charging appropriate fees on transactions, i.e.: Cashier’s Checks, statement copies, check copies, research fees, etc. Working knowledge of Credit Union security procedures.
Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual: Must be PC-proficient, including keyboarding skills, in a Windows environment. Able to utilize intranet and email, departmental software, phone, and data processing systems within the area of responsibility.

level in the work environment is average and is impacted by computers, printers, scanners, phones, and other surrounding conversations. The credit union is located in Central Oregon and weather during the winter may impact travel. Seasonal fires may impact air quality.
