Looking for Controls Technician in Inwood, West Virginia!
5 Month Contract
Role Responsibilities include:
Provide direct support to production lines to perform Power, Controls and Information Systems (PC&IS) work
o Troubleshooting and repair line technical problems
o Troubleshoot and improve Controls Programming to address technical issues
o Train new resources in PC&IS (in the field training)
o Implement improvement projects
o Equipment installation motors, drives, controllers, devices, etc.
o Perform Pre-startup inspections on new equipment installation (verify install and function of equipment)
Develop and deploy technical mastery knowledge in all major controls technology (including ControlLogix, Kinetix, Powerflex, Stratix, etc.) and use this knowledge to deliver vertical start-ups and build capability in others
Documentation of electrical qualification and training for resource to be provided; this document should state that the resource has been trained and qualified per NFPA70E requirements, with the ability to interface up to 480VAC/600VDC.
Advanced electrical/controls technician, experienced in industrial manufacturing (preferably with P&G experience)
Understands and has working knowledge of motors, drives, process control, process instrumentation, Rockwell PLCs, Wonderware HMIs, FactoryTalk Batch, etc.
Knowledge and previous field experience with process controls; preferred previous experience with batch making systems and automated material feeds
Solid troubleshooting skills for power, controls, and instrumentation; have ability to diagnose and find root causes of issues in the field (via use of tools, meters, PLC/HMI/Batch program evaluation, etc.)
Capable of Rockwell ControlLogix PLC & Wonderware HMI programming additions or modifications and troubleshooting; do not need to be able to program from scratch
General knowledge of Rockwell Ethernet devices. Able to configure and connect plant level modules to facilitate communication between business unit PLCs and PLCs outside the assigned business unit
Capable of providing on-the-job training to new electrical/controls technicians in process controls and troubleshooting skills; will have 2-3 individuals that will shadow this contractor to learn
Resource should provide their own electrical PPE (all items for arc flash up to Category 2 and shock protection, per NFPA70E)
Resource should provide their standard tools (electrical insulated hand tools, meter, etc.)
