Job Description
Scope of Position
Supervise day to day warehouse operations for Air Exports and drive efficiencies and Process improvements
Responsibilities and Duties
•Own freight received Air Lateral KPI
•Own transfer truck Air Lateral KPI
•Own day warehouse email correspondence and delegate accordingly to the day air export warehouse team
•Own communication between day and night warehouse ops
•Zero Wait time due to delays in the warehouse operation
•Collaborate with the day office effectively to ensure we are efficient with our airport transfer truck operation.
•Align export warehouse staffing with heightened times of freight movement in the warehouse operation.
•Responsible for accurately signing for all freight received
•All onhands to be completed during days when received
•DG checks to be performed upon receiving DG freight during the day.
•Act as a swing contact to assist both the warehouse and dispatch desk when needed
•Train others on the warehouse team to know all tasks in the operation.
•No freight left behind - ensure all freight is loaded on all trucks 100% of the time.
•Shift turnover to be sent to the night team daily.
•Any other function deemed necessary by Manager
•Encourage, motivate, persuade, push all team members to surpass management goals, and develop up & comers
•Foster a positive attitude environment.
•Oversee our screening operation to ensure 100% compliance per TSA and company regulations/policy.
•Coordinate the staging of freight needed to be screened by the K9
•Ensure cover sheets for the K9 are being completed and properly completed at all times.
•Ensure we have a certain level of stock for ULD build materials and warehouse materials.
•Ensure the warehouse is kept clean and all surfaces wiped down.
Qualifications
•High School degree or equivalent
•3 years warehouse agent experience
•Fork lift certification required within 6 months of employment
•Become DG certified at first available opportunity
•Become screening certified within 12 months of employment
•Have a driver's license
•Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
