Lead Electrical Engineer

Seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer with 4 to 6 years of experience to design and develop next-gen Lithium-Ion batteries used for space and industrial applications.

• Salary is $106k to $132k per year.
• Must work in the office.
• This is not a remote position.
• Full-Time/Perm, not a contract
• Position is located in Longmont Colorado.
• 9/80 schedule (9-hour days M-F and then every other Friday off every other weekend is a 3-day weekend).

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of analog, digital, and power electronics for space battery systems as well as fulfillment of complex requirements documents to demonstrate product compliance to specifications.
• Coordinate and validate project testing and analyses plans and reports against customer requirements.
• Lead electrical schematic capture, circuit board layout, and generation of assembly documentation per internal and industry standards.
• Perform and review analyses in technical reports including Part Stress/Derating, Worst Case Circuit, Reliability, Radiation, and Failure Modes and Effects (FMEA).
• Participate in investigations, resolutions, and product improvement meetings.
• Support the mentorship and development of other engineers, including a limited supervisory role.

Qualifications

• Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical and Computer Engineering, or similar.
• At least 4 to 6 years of related experience.
• Experience in the design and development of Li-Ion batteries (is preferred).
• Experience with schematic capture programs (Cadence OrCAD preferred).
• Experience reviewing, interpreting, and responding to customer and industry requirements.
• Experience with electrical laboratory equipment.
