Job Description

Exotic's accounting department is currently looking for an Accountant to join the team in a full-time capacity.

Responsibility summary includes, but not limited to: participants in  the day-to-day operations of the Accounting department and ensures delivery of excellent customer service.  Performs a variety of related activities including, but not limited to, Accounts Payable/Receivable, preparation and analysis of monthly and annual financial statements, and company banking.

Essential Job Functions:

  • General Accounting, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Corporate Scanning.
  • Helps create procedures and processes to clearly define the workflow and tasks required to fulfill department objectives and reviews to ensure optimum customer service levels and performance while improving where possible. Knows how to perform department processes.
  • Preparation, analysis, and reporting of monthly and annual financial statements for all locations and managing the annual audit.
  • Responsible for maintaining relationship with company bank and for managing all banking.
  • Responsible for preparing and analyzing the annual budget and reporting to Executive Team and Management.
  • Responsible for securing company liability and worker’s compensation insurances annually and managing the audits.
  • Ensures business system functions optimally to allow maximum department effectiveness.
  • Manages all miscellaneous corporate financial audits as required.
  • Responsible for maintaining, calculating and reporting monthly sales compensation plan results.
  • Forecasts and manages cash flow to maximize profitability.
  • Reports monthly department KPIs and results.
  • Prepares and executes department business plan and initiatives to improve department performance and company viability.
  • Performs specific journal entries including monthly accruals.
  • Ensures timely payment of vendor invoices to take advantage of discounts.
  • Establishes and maintains fiscal files and records to document transactions.
  • Establishes and manages Corporate Credit Card and Fleet Card program.
  • Responsible for preparing and maximizing tax credits offered to reduce tax liability

Knowledge Skills and Abilities Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting (will consider equivalent work experience).
  • Two (2) years work experience in Accounting/Finance capacity.
  • PC skills and previous experience on a business system.
  • Excellent research and resourcing skills.
  • Advanced self-motivation and detail orientation skills.
  • Experience working with highly sensitive information and ability to maintain 100% confidentiality at all times.
  • Advanced organizational skills required to prioritize, plan and coordinate work activities and resources in area of responsibility.
  • Strong negotiation skills required to provide full support of company initiatives.
  • Advanced analytical skills needed to identify root causes of problems, generate alternatives, draw logical conclusions and decide on appropriate course of action after careful examination of relevant information and consideration of critical business issues.
  • Advanced communication and interpersonal skills necessary to effectively communicate with associates, customers, business partners and management team.  Demonstrated teamwork approach with superiors, peers and subordinates utilizing skills in oral communication, active listening, written and oral directions and cooperating with and assisting others when needed.
