Our company has an opportunity for a self-driven, Operations Manager to join our team. Finding the right fit to join our family business is imperative to help continue to expand, while preserving the positive characteristics of a family run business. Below are qualifications and responsibilities of the Operations Manager, but the priority for the position is to support our employees so they can do their best work. All hourly production associates will report to this person.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Good reasoning, conflict-management, and analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency with common Microsoft products including but not limited to: Word, Excel, Outlook, OneNote
  • Must be able to learn software programs quickly
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced environment and able to remain level headed
  • Able to communicate with both executives and staff employees in order to create and administer policy
  • A thorough understanding of financial and budgeting principles
  • Strong personal and professional judgment
  • Adaptable and able to respond quickly to a shifting reality and adjust priorities accordingly


  • Four-year degree or equivalent experience
  • Management level position for at least 3 years
  • Experience with multi-department operations

General Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate different teams to foster exchange of ideas and provide cross-team learning opportunities
  • Hire and onboard hourly production associates
  • Assist with hiring for holiday pushes during Valentine's Day and Mother's Day
  • Motivate production and supervisor employees to perform at their best
  • Manage daily production schedule
  • Assist with the holiday production schedule
  • Help facilitate with leadership any new software deployment (plan is to implement an ERP in the next year, eliminating QuickBooks and then a possible new HR system)
  • Approve hourly employee production time off while ensuring the work load still gets accomplished
  • Facilitate employee reviews
  • Track employee goals, progress, etc. as appropriate (focusing on the coordinators and the supervisors)
  • Create employee improvement plans when needed and terminate when appropriate
  • Conduct special project teams as needed
  • Create and implement training plans as needed
  • Identify potential problems and points of friction and working to resolve
  • Document processes
  • Help foster and support the direct to consumer side of the business (Floricity)
  • Assist employees with using any employer portals (HR, 401k, health insurance)
  • Be able to articulate how our 401K and Health insurance works to all staff
  • Mange sleeve and barcode inventory (non-holiday)
  • Handbook management
  • Attendance program management
