Our client is a big name in the manufacturing and shipping of electronics and parts for wind turbines and other wind generated technologies. We are seeking a professional and diligent Electrical Technician to join our client's main operation, found in the city of Santa Clarita.
As the Electrical Technician, you will be our client's main specialist for the electrical panels that get attached to the wind turbines. You will be responsible for installing NEC Division 2 NEMA 4 Control Station, the electrical systems and the instrumentation to the system so it can support the turbine. You will mainly be reading the blueprints and bill of materials to make sure the item is installed correctly. Afterward, you will also install the Conduit per NEC Article 500, and performing troubleshooting when needed prior to shipment.
This is a full time, temp to hire position. First shift, from 8 am to 5 pm. Pay rate is as listed, however, our client is willing to negotiate for a great candidate. Please keep this in mind.
This is what we are looking for in candidates:
- You have at least 5 years of Electrical and/or Electronic Systems experience
- You have experience in installing and testing sensors, control panels and/or PLC's
- You have understanding of the National Electrical Code (or NEC)
- You preferably have worked either through the Petrochemical industry, or in a refinery like setting.
- As a condition of employment, you may be asked to take and pass a background check and drug test.
