Every Man Jack is a leader in the natural men’s grooming space in the United States, with a presence across major national retailers like Target, Walmart, Whole Foods, and Amazon. Born at the base of Mt. Tam in Marin County, CA, the company’s Base Camp is in Mill Valley, CA, just north of the Golden Gate bridge. Reporting to the CFO and based in our office in Marin, the IT Manager will create a secure, reliable, and high performing IT infrastructure to ensure a safe and productive work environment. The IT Manager will maintain a consistent focus on service excellence and ROI while managing EMJ’s 3rd party IT consultants, who are responsible for the day-to-day desktop  support for local and remote employees.  The IT Manager will assist the CFO in defining the technology strategy and will be responsible for executing all aspects of the resulting technology roadmap.


  • Support the leadership, vision and direction of the Company’s IT systems and services to ensure alignment and contribution to Company and Department goals and objectives
  • Participate in creating the technology strategy and objectives for the transformation of IT processes, capabilities and operating model in support of company growth
  • Maintain and support SAP Business One and manage the VAR partnership
  • Participate in the development of the corporate IT security strategy and ensure that IT systems properly protect for confidentiality.
  • Develop and control the annual operating and capital expenditure budget for the IT function to ensure consistency with overall strategic objectives
  • Formulate and implement a business continuity and disaster recovery plan
  • Partner with human resources to lead change management, training and effective communication regarding IT applications
  • Provide oversight for strategic partner relationships and vendor contracts
  • Evaluation of disruptive industry models and disciplines to determine the appropriateness of bringing those practices to Every man Jack
  • Establish, monitor, and report on of Service Level Targets / Key Performance Indicators (SLTs/KPIs) in the service of Every Man Jack’s Company strategy
  • Regularly engage with staff to see “how things are going”, address concerns and educate/share helpful tips and tricks
  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners to implement projects and technology improvements
  • Keep current with trends and issues in the IT industry, including current technologies and pricing. Advise, counsel, and educate internal partners on their competitive or financial impact.


Candidates must be passionate, organized, and love supporting people with technical needs.  Solving problems with a smile and helping people to leverage technology effectively in their day-to-day lives is a must-have attitude.  You will also be a strong communicator who is proactive and curious.  And a good sense of humor never hurts.


  • 6-9 years of experience with increasing levels of responsibility in IT engineering and management, experience in CPG industry is preferred
  • Experience creating a cybersecurity strategy, roadmap, deploying and managing cybersecurity solutions and services
  • Bachelor’s degree in Technology, Information Systems, preferred
  • SAP business one experience is highly desired
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong ability to communicate technical concepts to nontechnical people to enhance understanding, teach new skills and drive decisions to positive outcomes
  • Ability to utilize critical thinking to troubleshoot issues, work collaboratively with a team to brainstorm solutions, and implement improvement solutions
  • Extensive technical knowledge of Mac OSX, Windows 10, Google Workspace and MS365
  • Demonstrated experience managing IT services and solutions related to Finance, HR, Legal, Operations, Regulatory and ERP landscape
  • Demonstrated capability in managing and executing IT transformational initiatives in complex and dynamic environments
  • Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to develop and communicate an enterprise IT vision that aligns to the IT and business strategy
  • Strong organizational skills and experience building consensus
  • Ability to establish effective working relationships with functional leaders, key stakeholders and external partners to champion change across the organization
  • Outstanding customer service/work ethic
  • Dedication to personal and professional accountability - you ask questions, learn quickly and find solutions

LOCATION: Mill Valley, CA (Hybrid: Mon/Tues/Thurs in Office, Wed/Fri Remote)

HOURS: Full Time, Exempt, Salaried
