Job Description

The Warehouse Manager will ensure all activities are met as scheduled; as well as manage shipping/receiving, inventory control and any other related duties.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Coordinate shipments of inventory to and from jobs.
  • Manage crew to ensure all job tasks are completed accurately and efficiently.
  • Manage crew by training, scheduling, and disciplining employees, communicating job expectations, reviewing job contributions, enforcing policies, safety, and procedures.
  • Serve as quality control for all shipments leaving the yard, making sure pallets are secured properly and can be safely transported.
  • Develop a storage plan to improve the pulling of materials and loading of trucks.
  • Responsible for overseeing cycle counts of materials.
  • Reconcile inventory discrepancies and recommend inventory adjustments.
  • Maintain a sufficient orders of consumables and submit orders as required.
  • Check products for defects and accuracy.
  • Load, unload, prepare, inspect, and operate delivery vehicle.
  • Manage the unloading of materials and merchandise from incoming vehicles and direct the storage of equipment.
  • Coordinating with other departments to ensure smooth communication and operations.
  • Direct the performance of preventative maintenance as required.
  • Monitor monthly forklift inspections and daily ladder checks.
  • Coordinate maintenance and repairs of all vehicles assigned to the yard.
  • Ensure that all tools and equipment are cleaned and maintained properly at the end of each shift.
  • Maintain a safe and orderly environment.
  • Ensure crew follow company safety and compliance procedures.
  • May occasionally help on local job sites.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience preferred.
  • 5 + years of Management or Warehouse experience required.
  • Experience in events, equipment rental, or construction type industry preferred.
  • Strong experience with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word) required.
  • Must pass pre-employment background check and drug screen if required.
  • Advanced understanding of warehouse and trucking.
  • Previous dispatch and inventory control experience required.
  • Prior management or supervisory experience required.
  • Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs and uses.
  • Forklift, boom lift and scissor life licenses a plus but not required. Training will be provided.
  • OSHA 10 or 30 an advantage but not required. Training will be provided.
  • Bilingual English and Spanish required.
