Job Description

The Director of Operations is responsible for overseeing many of the business’ daily activities, directing and coordinating actions across our organization. Will manage resources, along with developing, maintaining, and improving operational plans.

Key responsibilities to include but not limited to:

- Oversees the execution of event rental fulfillment while ensuring that all logistics requirements are carried out according to the event plans. He/She manages the event plans and works closely with other departments to ensure that all operational/equipment requirements of the events are fulfilled.

- Manage events calendar, workflow and workload. Responsible for the daily scheduling and supervising of all warehouse staff, drivers, and installers to ensure fulfillment of client orders. Meets scheduling operations by forecasting and calendaring inventory requirements and supply.

- Will plan the order and routing of jobs and crew to meet client commitments with maximum efficiency. Will be in constant communication with drivers, installers, and clients to ensure equipment is delivered, installed, and picked up at the correct location and according to the event plan.

- Collaborate with leadership to build an environment of collective responsibility and accountability.

- Ensure adherence to key performance objectives to meet business and customer expectations.

- Maintain constant communication with management, staff, vendors and clients to ensure proper operations of the organization.

- Grow the efficiency of existing organizational processes and procedures to enhance and sustain the organization’s internal capacity

- Control the stock and purchasing of warehouse supplies

- Provide client support and problem solving in a responsive and courteous manner.

- Achieve warehouse/workflow operations by contributing recommendations and managing adherence to policies.

- Inspect goods to be delivered to ensure that they are in the right quantity and quality. Supervise the loading of such goods into vehicles for delivery

- Play a leading role in managing company budget and growth strategy

- Collaborate with leadership to build an environment of collective responsibility and accountability.

- Hiring responsibilities: ensure that necessary numbers of staff members are employed to support the growing business. Perform interviewing and hiring functions as well as staff performance evaluations.

- Perform Additional duties as required and/or requested.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

•        7 years of managerial experience. Minimum of 5 in the Event industry. 

•        Excellent multitasker who thrives under pressure to perform with accuracy and efficiency

•        High attention to detail

•        Able to work a flexible workweek to meet client demands including nights, weekends, and holidays.

•        Comfortable working with diverse personalities in a team

•        Strong time management and customer service skills

•        Strong verbal and written communication skills

•        Proficient in Microsoft Office and Quickbooks

•        Bilingual communication skills (plus)
