Natural Stone Product Line Manager

The positionof Natural Stone Product Manager is responsible for strengthening the companystrategy of natural stone products while achieving set KPIs around brandbusiness goals (EGM/MARVA). The Natural Stone Product Manager would beresponsible for product/sku mix, merchandising and pricing strategies, andcompetitive and product positioning analysis. This position works closely withsales, marketing, and inventory to continually drive brand awareness, brandconsistency, inventory availability and brand sales goal.

Major Tasks, Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities

  • Develop a strategic growth agenda for business lines (residential and commercial), identifying key segment and SKU priorities and determining the tactical plan for short and long-term optimization
  • Regularly communicate growth agenda back to executives, internally and externally
  • Work with business line leaders and partners to identify marketing, product, and channel opportunities, and develop communications plans and tactics to drive sales KPIs
  • Work with brand partners to develop sales collateral, online collateral, video and digital content (i.e., social, blog, web, email), co-op advertising and larger marketing programs to drive awareness of the brands/SKUs to the trade and consumer
  • Develop sourcing strategies for product lines as needed along with supply chain partners that align to market trends and account growth needs (i.e., SKU versions, contract commitments), and review overseas inspection reports to anticipate strategic pivots
  • Develop metrics to determine brand awareness and preference in the regions (trade and consumer) to keep a pulse on demand; Work with channel marketing to develop loyalty programs for product lines/brands
  • Oversee and execute brand/company messaging and presence at industry trade/consumer shows; attend national and local trade shows as necessary
  • Work with business line leaders and partners to launch new products/programs (e.g., builder) to internal and external audiences (i.e., sales and customers)
  • Analyze the regions/markets/accounts to determine growth/expansion opportunities (e.g., consumer, trade, A&D, A accounts) and propose ongoing growth agendas to executives
  • Report back on program, campaign, and channel performance on initiatives
  • Serve as cross-functional leader and quarterback for all activities relating to the Natural Stone brand/product line, including weekly review of inventory levels vs. account/location needs to direct transfer/re-stocking requirements
  • Determine optimal product mix, pricing, and margin strategy across the company for the Natural Stone product line
  • Analyze and execute the ideal sku merchandising approach by region for a hub (our showrooms/galleries) and spoke (K&B) model; develop best practices and learnings to share across the sales team and accelerate efficiencies, speed and impact of optimization; closely track and report out performance of merchandising and natural stone selection investment across hub and spoke (i.e. develop pilot tests and optimize ongoing implementation)
  • Connects with supplier/brand partners to maintain relationship, negotiating/gaining additional support and alignment, communicating key market and trade insights that impact product and marketing approach
  • Lead and inspire through providing SKU and natural stone type knowledge and training for sales associates; develop additional product knowledge materials for the sales team
  • Organize and execute product line meetings, events, and special programs for the trade across regions

Requires 25-50% travel


Education Required
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience

Years of Relevant Experience
10+ years’ experience in product/brand, trade/channel marketingrequired

Natural Stone industry experience required
