A qualified applicant will have experience with the following:
+ Solid experience of monitoring patients under anesthesia including EKG, SP02, Doppler as well as recovery
+ Proficiency in placing IV catheters
+ Obtaining TPR
+ Lift and/or restrain patients up to 50 lbs
+ Consistently demonstrate excellent client communication skills. Handle all aspects of client communication with regard to informational calls, client follow-up and general questions about their in-hospital or at-home pet?s status. Neurological disease can be difficult for clients to understand. Compassion, patience, professionalism and kindness to all clients whether in person or on the phone, is a must.
+ Must be willing to travel to all three locations if the department expands in the future.
+ Must be available for on-call rotation within the surgery and neurology services.
+ Must have the ability to work longer days, dependent upon caseload.
