JOB DESCRIPTION
The manager of SIU provides oversight of SIU leads and case list ownership as well as provides improvement and leadership to our claim's investigations, case management, communications and report finishing.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead a team of SIU leads and sole responsibility for case management.
Assess location of investigators and help Team leads through leadership
Update and communicate with clients as needed
Training of new hires and expansion of knowledge/skills of SIU Team Leaders.
At times Reviews field investigators recordings, statements and reports in Ethos to ensure accuracy and quality.
Work with senior management to establish new protocols.
Work with senior leadership to help develop SIU Team leaders and mentor.
Help lead Client communications, including the handling of distressed/unsatisfied clients.
Communication with other Ethos Risk Services departments including sales and operation managers for strategic game-planning of assignments/tasks.
Cross-sell services when opportunities arise.
EDUCATION
Associates or bachelor's degree, preferably in criminal justice or a related field.
SKILL
Possess strong computer and internet skills.
Possess strong verbal and written communication skills.
Strong attention to detail.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
LICENCES/CERTIFICATIONS/INSURANCE
Preferred adjuster's license or private investigator's license.
Preferred FCLA, FCLS or equivalent designations.
EXPERIENCE
Two (2) years of experience managing claims investigations to include auto-liability, property casualty, liability, disability and worker's compensation files.
Two (2) years of experience within an insurance carrier or third-party administrator's SIU department.
Have knowledge in the areas of vendor management, international case supervision and SIU compliance.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
This position works in an office environment where temperatures are constant. Frequent prolonged periods of a stationary position. Constant operation of a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine/printer. Frequent communication via telephone and in person with clients, customers and co-workers.
