Classification: Salaried Non-Exempt
Target Salary Range: $80,000 - $100,000 Commensurate with experience
Work Schedule:
Weekly alternating 8-hour day shifts (6 AM - 2: 30 PM) and 8-hour afternoon shifts (1:00 PM - 9:30 PM) Monday through Friday. Must be available to be on call one of every five weekends, which includes site visits to meet with Lead Chemical Operators and other personnel as required. Shift hours are subject to change as business needs dictate.
Summary:
Seeking two knowledgeable individuals to perform day to day supervision of chemical operators and warehouse workers and drive operational performance in batch chemical operations. Individuals must exhibit exceptional leadership qualities to successfully supervise and lead, as well as great technical capabilities. Exhibit leadership in and drive front line adherence to meet all safety, environmental, and quality objectives.
Essential Functions:
A. First Line Supervision
B. Shift Supervision - Administrative "Supervisor of Record" for two production shifts
C. Individual Special Duties as Assigned - dependent upon organization's needs, which may include:

Essential Functions:
A. First Line Supervision
- Direct chemical operators and warehouse workers present on-site
- Monitor production schedules
- Assign and direct shift activities
- Daily time and attendance approval
- Provide necessary work instructions
- Drive adherence to shift objectives
- Procure needed resources (maintenance, materials, administrative) as required.
- Housekeeping adherence
- Environmental walkthroughs
B. Shift Supervision - Administrative "Supervisor of Record" for two production shifts
- Approval of time off requests
- Training responsibilities include being the subject matter expert for some subjects and monitoring and driving subordinate progress toward satisfying required curriculum
- Mentoring for career growth
- Performance reviews
- Corrective actions (write ups)
C. Individual Special Duties as Assigned - dependent upon organization's needs, which may include:
- Process troubleshooting
- Training Program trainer
- Procedural streamlining (MP owner)
- Process optimization
- Waste reduction
- 5S facility improvements
- Emergency response team roles
- Capital program assignments
- Operational shutdown activities planning
- Team approach to solving issues
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in chemistry or engineering or 7+ years of equivalent work experience
- 2+ years of progressive supervisory experience
- Must be a team player with a positive attitude who treats all coworkers with dignity and respect.
