System Administrator - Engineer- Azure - Cloud - Temp to Hire

The IT System Administrator will be part of a successful, dynamic team that provides hybrid cloud and on premises support at the Mid-Manhattan headquarters location. The candidate will work with diverse technologies and participate in strategic projects, within a collaborative environment, leveraging diverse technologies, including Azure, Office 365, Okta, Windows Server, and VMWare. This is a contractual position, which may become a long term assignment. The client also has the option to hire you for a permanent position at any time. The client is offering a hybrid work schedule, with a mix of on-site and working from home.

Responsibilities:

--System Administration duties.

--Office 365 and Azure Cloud compute and Storage Administration.

--Data analysis, scripting, and automation..

--Enterprise Applications Administration and monitoring.

--Active Directory and Identity Management Administration (on premise, Azure Active Directory, and Okta)

--Monitor system, server and network alerts: resolve issues.

--Manage backups and restores, on premise and in the Azure Cloud.

Monitor and test data replication/Synchronization and disaster recovery systems.

--Manage asset tracking for responsible offices.

--Ensure that rights management and security comply with company policy.

-Work closely with other regional IT support teams to maintain company infrastructure.

--Participate in project initiatives.

--Work closely with the IT Engineering team on cloud, infrastructure, application, Security and compliance projects.

--Provide second level desktop support at times for desktops and laptops: includes contact with user community and requires excellent client service skills.

Required Experience:

--The right candidate will have at least 3 years of IT experience as an IT Systems Administrator, supporting a hybrid cloud environment, including Windows, Azure and O365.

--Azure experience is required, including exposure to core Azure operational tasks, with resources such as: Virtual Machines in Azure-updates, troubleshooting, health and performance monitoring, Storage Accounts. Alerts configuration and Monitoring of Azure Resources, Log-Analytics Workspaces, Cost Management, Azure Advisor, Network Watcher, VNetsw/NSGs.

-Strong knowledge of Enterprise Applications, such as iManage Work, Office 365 Email, Teams, OneDrive and SharePoint.

--Requires strong experience with servers in a physical, virtual and cloud environment, including migrating workloads between platforms.

--Azure and O365 Certifications a strong plus.

--Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.

--Strong automation, PowerShell scripting and other orchestration technologies.

-Complex data analysis skills using tools such as PowerBI.

--A solid understanding and experience working with major compliance standards, such as HIPAA or SOC2 is helpful.

--Strong knowledge of Windows Server 2012/2016/2019 administration.

--Windows Server AD, DNS, DHCP, network basic, and Windows 10 troubleshooting and Administration skills.

--Strong experience with endpoint computing, including PC's Citrix XecApp and VDI.

--Experience with O365 Security and compliance tools.

--Solid understanding of security best practices, networking concepts, threats, tools and remediation techniques.

--Experience with McAfee Endpoint Security Enterprise Suite (including McAfee ePO) helpful.

--Experience with remote access solutions such as SonicWall or next generation remote access.

--Experience with infrastructure applicatiosn such as or similar to AQppSense, Varonis DatAdvantage/DatAlert, Qualys, MS SCOM/SCCM, Forcepoint, and VMware.

--Strong communication, interpersonal and customer service skills.
