The IT Systems Administrator position is responsible for providing advanced hardware and software support for our customers on the help desk. This position is an escalation for our Help Desk Team, and requires interfacing with customers as well as help desk staff for complex or critical situations. The role will work frequently with, but not limited to, Windows Server operating systems and their roles, firewalls, unique 3rd party software, email, dental specific software and hardware, and advanced networking configurations. This position is an in-house position with no onsite work required, and does have the option of working from home for part of the week.

Remotely install workstations, servers, routers, switches, and other networking components.
Perform remote scheduled maintenance on servers, workstations, and networking equipment.
Perform remote data migrations from existing environments to new workstation and server environments.
Answer phones calls as they come into the technical support queue.
Notify a Technical Manager immediately of any critical situations or problems with service.
Utilize various software tools, CRM and RMM software, and calls to 3rd party technical support to resolve customer issues.
Follow call handling guidelines and escalations in accordance with company policies and procedures.
Log all calls, labor, and parts in CRM software.
Other duties as assigned by a Technical Manger or Executive Management.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Two-year degree or equivalent education and/or work experience.
Proficient in Windows Desktop Operating Systems
Proficient in Microsoft Windows Server Operating Systems (2016, 2019).
Proficient in Microsoft Office (2010, 2013, 2016, 2019, 365).
Proficient with Switches, routers, network firewalls, VLANS, VPNs, UPS and backup systems.
Proficient with Active Directory, Domain Trusts, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, LAN/WAN networking concepts.
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
Ability to multitask with attention to details.
Strong critical-thinking, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to maintain positive, professional, and friendly attitude.
Ability to work independently or with little supervision.
Ability to find, research, or come up with solutions for problems in the absence of any documentation, KB, or guide.
