Data & Development Manager

General Description

The Equiscript Data & Development Manager is responsible for managing the internal Salesforce Development and Data Analyst teams.  The IS Manager must be capable of reviewing code including Apex, Visualforce, JavaScript, HTML, SQL, and other technologies. 

This person should have a thorough understanding of software development tools and a portfolio of successful software development projects. The ideal candidate combines a proven track record of IS team development on the platform, as well as some knowledge of the healthcare market.

Key Responsibilities

  • Direct daily operations of the department, analyze workflow, establish priorities, develop standards, and set deadlines.
  • Assign and review the work of data analysts and developers.
  • Translate project requirements into detailed implementation plans.
  • Drive regular reviews and performance management of data analysts and developers in the Information Systems department.
  • Assist with computer information resources, providing for data security and control, strategic computing, and disaster recovery.
  • Review and approve all projects and code revisions prior to their implementation.
  • Evaluate the organization's technology use and needs and recommend improvements, such as systems upgrades and enhancements.
  • Review project plans with project management staff in order to plan and coordinate project activity.
  • Work with the Chief Technology Officer to control operational budget and expenditures.
  • Oversee design, development, and implementation of internal and client-facing solutions on the platform.
  • Oversee design and development solutions in Apex, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and other technologies.
  • Stay abreast of advances in technology and achieve certification requirements as a developer and advanced developer.
  • Assist with additional tasks and projects as may be required.

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Experience with Google Apps, MS Office, or similar software
  • Experience with diagramming software such as MS Visio
  • Experience with or a similar CRM system a plus

Preferred Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, MIS or equivalent
  • 5+ years of experience with software development projects
  • Application development experience with Apex, JavaScript, Java, C#, SQL, or similar
  • Proficiency with APIs, -- REST and SOAP-based web services (SOA)
  • Competency with Microsoft SQL Server, MYSQL, PostgreSQL or Oracle

Physical Requirements

  • Requires the ability to sit or stand for long periods of time, occasional stooping, and reaching; May require lifting up to 25 pounds; requires a normal range of vision and hearing with or without accommodations.

  • Position Located in North Charleston, SC, but open to remote-based positions in SC, NC, GA, FL, PA, OH, IL, WA, UT, AZ, TX, and MN
