With a successful foothold in the defense industry, where we invented directed energy weapon systems that surpass current capabilities, we’re creating new possibilities for intelligently-driven power products in commercial markets.Job Objective: Field Services Representatives will be driving all technical aspects of our sales process, teaming very closely alongside our Sales Account Executives with a set of government and enterprise accounts. Ideal candidates are motivated and focused on the strategic value of our solutions with the ability to develop trusted relationships at an executive level.
Successful Field Services Representatives have a concrete understanding of the difficult challenges facing our customers and deep understanding of how to identify areas that can be resolved with our High-Power Microwave (HPM) and SmartPower product suites. Candidates play a key role in navigating complex accounts in order to generate and deliver winning proposals, contract bids, statements of work, and RFI/RFP responses. Customer and partner focus, along with building and nurturing relationships, is critical to this role.Duties:Work alongside Account Executives to help acquire, lead, and develop major accounts within your assigned territoryStrong account management skills to identify cross-selling and up-selling opportunities within targeted accounts with the ability to understand the application of Epirus technology into direct and adjacent solutionsConduct effective technical presentations to corporate and director level technology executivesHelping to establish account plans to successfully use of company technical resources where and when applicable to significantly grow the businessDemonstrate technical knowledge and understanding of HPM and SmartPower products, and competitor offeringsDesign and drive Proof-of-Concept activities for your customer accounts to quickly move a customer along the buying journeyEstablish yourself as a trusted technical advisor to your customers with the ability to quickly answer questions and inquiries about how Epirus technology functionsRequired Qualifications: 5+ years of experience as a successful pre-sales Sales Engineer in the Department of Defense, Power Management area, systems integrator or equivalent experienceSuccessful track record of exceeding annual sales quotasPrior experience helping to sell complex technical products.
Ability to map Epirus’ solutions and features to a customer mission and problem statementExperience working with system integration partners, and OEM’sSuccessful experience and understanding of federal government funding cycles and procurement processesEnterprise System Engineering experience with an actionable set of contactsTravel requiredDesired Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or similar field.Technical certifications or equivalent experienceStrong communication both written and verbal, including presentation skills for clients and partnersVery strong organizational and interpersonal skillsStrong understanding of processes and complexities around products and technology along with 3rd party software and hardware integration(s)Strong analytical skills to evaluate complex multivariate problems and find a systematic approach to gain a quick resolutionMature and effective time-management skillsEpirus was the magical bow with infinite arrows wielded by the Greek hero Theseus.
