Position Description:

The Design Engineer II will analyze, research, and design components or a system of components to develop or improve Aircraft products while enhancing performance, reducing cost, or facilitating manufacturing operations. The Engineer will create engineering drawings and maintain electronic project design folders. This position requires knowledge of a variety of engineering principles from mechanical, electrical, or other engineering disciplines. The Design Engineer will perform a variety of tasks related to manufacturing improvements and new product implementationto Epic's E1000GX Aircraft.

Your Day-to-Day:

  • Design, develop and test aircraft parts and components
  • Write reports documenting activities and analyses
  • Will work in Engineering and in conjunction with other departments to accomplish goals and objectives

What You Bring to the Team (Requirements):

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Aerospace Engineering
  • 4-5 years of experience as a Design Engineer preferably in aviation or similar
  • Mechanical Design Experience Required
  • 2 years minimum Aerospace experience
  • Experience with SolidWorks Required
  • SolidWorks Enterprise PDM helpful
  • Strong knowledge of computer-aided design tools
  • Strong mechanical design aptitude and capability
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, high level of accuracy
  • Must be flexible to adapt to changing requirements
  • Ability to work well independently or in a team environment
  • Authorized to work in the U.S. for any employer without sponsorship now or in the future
