This desktop administrator should be capable of light programming and recommend suitable software to meet user requirements. They will be responsible for installing new and maintaining existing computer systems and mobile\smart devices. They should also be able to provide education to staff in use of equipment. Essential Job Functions: Knowledge and experience in managing server, network, and wireless infrastructure. Knowledge and experience in managing end user systems to minimize downtime and hands on visits to workstations. Ability to accurately managing IT asset inventory and software licensing compliance. Performing hardware repair and maintenance. Identifying and addressing complex usability problems. Ability to efficiently manage the deployment of a significant number of desktops/laptops by using industry standard tools, like LANDesk, Active Directory, Service Now, Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office, MS Systems Center Configuration Manger, OSD, MDT, DameWare, and similar tools to minimize trouble calls, security risks, and in-person visits to workstations. Knowledge of data networking wired and wireless. Demonstrable ability to effectively document procedures and IT systems. The candidate must have excellent written and verbal communication skills, phone skills, planning and prioritizing skills. Organizational and time management skills to accommodate changing workload and multiple priorities are required. Must be a self-motivator and have the initiative to work independently. Must have great interpersonal skills to maintain a good working relationship with users and department personnel. Education / Experience: 2-4 years desktop support experience required. Information Systems or Computer Science bachelors degree or equivalent work experience required. Knowledge / Skills / Abilities: Excellent troubleshooting skills and help desk experience Strong desire and ability to learn; Possess excellent problems solving skills Understanding of basic server concepts, preferably with proven experience Ability to work in a fast-paced dynamic environment Excellent communication and customer service skills Must be capable of lifting and transporting computer related hardware up to 40 pounds Position will include working evening and/or weekend hours as well as non-standard shift configurations
