 Job Summary

The role of the Regional Account Manager is to develop new dealer accounts along with nurturing existing dealer accounts within the designated territory. The Regional Account Manager will be responsible for finding opportunities within the dealer network that generate revenue that meet the departmental goals.

Key Accountabilities                                                                                                                                                  

1)      Developing and managing accounts in the defined territory through EP Sales Process:  (30% of time)

·         Receive RFQs and process them through the Project Coordinator.

·         Follow up on RFQs w/ email and calls.

·         Update opportunity database with opportunity status

·         Mine territory to target new dealer accounts.

·         Understand and develop key accounts.

·         Set up dealer meetings.

·         Call and set up appointments in territory.

·         Develop and deliver effective sales presentations.

·         Develop and maintain robust sales pipeline.

·         Learn to identify strategic accounts and opportunities.

2)   Know competitive landscape to effectively position EP in defined sales territory          (25% of time)

  • Know competitors and their geographical locations.
  • Understand EP's competitive advantages and disadvantages based on geographic location of the dealer, end user, and the competitor’s manufacturing location.
  • Understand EP cost parameters.
  • Determine market value for EP products.
  • Understand value of EP solutions vs. the competitor’s solutions

3) Suggest appropriate solutions to end-user applications                                                   (15% of time)

·         Understand capabilities of EP’s product line

·         Understand distribution center picking operations.

·         Become expert resource for dynamic storage solutions.

4) Develop routines that make appropriate use of available resources                                (15% of time)

·         Develop sales trips with multiple meetings to make the best use of travel expenses.

·         Travel and present autonomously for majority of sales trips.

·         Know when senior leadership support is needed and ask for help once identified.

·         Communicate across all organizational departments.                              

 5) Become proficient with the available tools and resources                                           (10% of time)

·         ERP system (Jobscope).

·         Learn report interface for data analysis.

·         Maintain opportunity status for accountability and leadership decision making.

6) Other duties as assigned.                                                                                                (5% of time)
