Job Description
Our Franklin client is currently seeking fast paced, and hardworking individuals with sit down forklift experience for a temp to hire opportunity as a Glass Machine Operator. If this is you, keep reading!
 
The Glass Machine Operator is responsible for cutting sheets of glass to specification size for assembly requirements.
 
Schedule & Pay:
  • Monday – Thursday, 10 hour shifts
  • 2nd Shift: 3:00pm – 1:30pm
 
Pay:
  • Starts at $15.50/hr 
  • After 90 day review, position pays for piece rate and production and can pay up to $18-24/hr

Responsibilities:
  • Operate forklift to obtain shipping containers of glass
  • Cut and stock daily glass production needs
  • Uses hand tools (prybar, hammer, band cutter, etc.) to open crates
  • By using forklift, transfer cut glass to proper inventory storage area

This position also comes with Day 1 Benefits such as:

Requirements:
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred
  • Sit down, propane forklift certified
  • Perform repetitive tasks with speed and accuracy 
  • Ability to life up to 50 pounds without assistance
