Job Description
We're seeking an Epic ClinDoc & Stork Analyst II./Principal Trainer for a FTE opportunity located near Boston, MA. Will consider candidates with either Epic ClinDoc and/or Stork certification/experience. Prefer Application build, but will consider MST build experience. Principal Duties and Responsibilities 1. Mentor junior colleagues in the development of application and project management knowledge 2. Be responsible for managing increasingly complex individual projects or work streams within the defined scope of the overall project 3. Configure, build, test, and support the Epic implementation at the facility and independent physician offices 4. Design processes with representatives from clinical or financial operations to ensure technology supports business processes 5. Independently manage your work to complete tasks based on clearly defined project milestones. 6. Identify and escalate any issues/problems/delays that may adversely impact the project. 7. Achieve in depth knowledge of respective Epic application and stay current with new application functionality and enhancements. 8. Coordinates all department preparations to support the adoption and implementation of software applications, systems reporting, and related software interfaces. 9. Acts as a liaison with all areas of the hospital using software application 10. Conducts regular meetings with hospital staff to determine future system enhancements. 11. Prepares and maintains documentation, including analysis, design, programming, standards, procedures, and user guides. 12. Create and maintain Learning Home Dashboards, Training material, and Curriculum for all assigned roles. 13. Conducts trainings and perform all associated tasks within the Learning Management System to schedule trainings or document test outs. 14. Maintain Epic training environment KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED 1. Bachelor’s degree required. 2. At least 1-2 years of information systems experience, preferably in healthcare with Epic ClinDoc or Stork Certification and build experience. 3. Experience with MST build and training environment maintenance preferred. 4. Experience leading projects and assigning tasks to supporting team members and other technical staff preferred. 5. Ability to understand and explain complex technical concepts in terms understandable to end-users 6. Ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment with respect to workflow design, issue escalation, and other projects that support business needs 7. Strong written communication skills, including project documentation and technical writing 8. Strong verbal communication skills while interacting with team members, end users and other departments throughout the organization 9. Demonstrated analytical and problem solving skills 10. Ability to be a team player; flexible, friendly, congenial and enthusiastic 11. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Products including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint 12. Ability to obtain Epic certification in required applications within 3 months of training and willingness to travel to Verona, Wisconsin for training on dates specified by the facility 13. Personal transportation for local travel, possibly some occasional out-of-town travel in addition to the training commitment above, and a valid Massachusetts driver's license 14. Participate in on-call coverage as assigned WORKING CONDITIONS 1. Physical demands include ability to sit more than six hours per day. 2. Ability to communicate via telephone, orally, and hear conversation more than 50% of the time. 3. Upper extremity demands include ability to perform data entry with repetitive hand movement, and visual concentration at video display terminal, to review and enter data.
