Job Description

Job Title: Account Executive (Multi-Family/Commercial)

  • Salary: $80,000 base salary + $120,000 incentive ($200,000 annual on-target earnings)

  • Benefits: Medical, Dental, and Vision for full-time employees (eligible at 60 days)

About the Role:

The Account Executive is a demanding and rewarding sales position within Endeavor Exteriors. This is an experienced professional level sales position and a strong history of sales success is required. We also require construction sales experience, as you will be focusing on selling exterior renovation projects including; roofing, siding, windows, painting, and gutters on multi-family and commercial buildings. This position comes with a $4,000,000 annual quota and a strong track record of past performance is required.

The Account Executive is a dynamic role that requires a team based mentality. You will be working with our marketing and business development teams to produce quality leads for you to service, and ultimately, close. This activity will be documented in the Endeavor Salesforce platform on a daily basis. You will be managing a pipeline of clients with an average sales cycle of 3-12 months. You will be following the Endeavor 6-step sales process that includes; pre-qualifying, inspections, proposals, presentations, negotiations, and contracts.

Once you have a qualified lead in your pipeline, you will work with the estimating department to produce all necessary bids. This will include site-walks, office meetings, and any supporting research to ensure an accurate scope of work is identified and presented to the client. You must be proficient in exterior building systems and understand the basics to scope a restoration project for the construction trades we specialize in. The meetings and site-walks will be coordinated with key stakeholders including; asset managers, construction directors and managers, maintenance managers, construction consultants, on-site property managers, owners, etc. Since these key stakeholders play a pivotal role in the overall decision, expertly managing these meetings is crucial to closing the sale.

You will be responsible for attaining all valuable information from the organizations we work with to thoroughly understand the dynamics of each project. This will be documented in Salesforce as you go through the sales process and will lead to the overall strategy of closing each project. Your attention to detail and your ability to methodically work through a sales cycle with different decision makers and influencers is arguably the most important skill in this role. Having a curious nature to ask the right questions and get the real answers will be key. Challenging your assumptions and showing great judgment is crucial.

You will be responsible for presenting the project scope to all decision makers and influencers. This format can vary but will typically be done in a boardroom presentation style. This can also be done during an on-site walkthrough will all decision makers. The format will change based upon the ownership group but the ability to successfully present in front of a group of 5-10 people is required.

 

Daily Responsibilities:

  • Maintaining a customer database with accurate and up to date information (Salesforce)

  • Lead generation efforts (collaboration with business development and marketing)

  • Cold calling

  • Pre-qualifying prospects

  • Large account procurement and management

  • On-site inspections

  • Creating and sending estimates & proposals (collaboration with estimators)

  • Boardroom style presentations

  • Contract negotiation

  • Strong follow up

  • Use of advanced sales techniques and concepts

  • Daily communication with sales manager (via Salesforce activity)

Role Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or relevant industry experience required (2 years minimum)

  • 3-5+ years of construction sales experience

  • 3-5+ years of Salesforce experience

  • Proficient in exterior building systems (primarily roofing, siding, windows, painting)

  • Excel in Sandler sales systems and concepts (or the ability to grasp and understand sales concepts quickly to put into immediate real world action)

  • Strong public speaking skills

  • Very strong personal and professional habits

  • Very strong verbal and written communication

  • Very strong time management skills

  • Very strong organizational skills

  • Extremely resourceful

  • Strong technology comprehension

  • Driver’s license with clean driving record

  • Flexible working hours (days/nights)
