Deer Deterrent Application Sprayer

Looking to switch careers, get outside to enjoy the outdoors, and get more exercise! The full-time application sprayer completes all assigned customer deer deterrent sprays for each day. The technician will need to drive to clients using a coordinated route schedule and spray each property with attention to job details, note-taking, and spray quality. Daily job preparation and equipment cleaning is required. By the end of the day, you get tasks completed in an orderly fashion and maintain professional relations with clients.

Minimum Skills Required:

• High school Diploma
• 2 or 4-year technical degree in horticulture a big plus
• Quick learner of landscaping plants, shrubs, and trees
• Passion for working outdoors, landscaping, and exercise
• Must be able to use 50lb backpack spray efficiently
• iPhone, iPad, and Macintosh computer knowledge and use
• Strong interpersonal skills required to communicate with staff and clients effectively
• Must be well-spoken, outgoing, organized, detail-oriented, dependable, and flexible
• Valid driver’s license and proof of insurance
• DISC Assessment, background check, and drug screen required

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Completes all assigned customer deer deterrent sprays for each day
• Has complete knowledge of deer loving and resistant landscaping within 3-6 weeks of the start date
• Effectively cover landscaping using proper spray techniques
• Follow unique job instructions for each property
• Complete customer job information digitally and manually
• Cleans all equipment before the end of each day
• All regional jobs must be completed before the end of the week (Weather permitting)
• Complete daily job stats form, clocks in-out each day, and keeps track of expenses
• Develop and maintain high-performance levels of customer service
• Periodically clean vehicles and over spray on property houses and distribute marketing materials during non-peak times.
• The spray technician will work directly with the owner.

• Provide positive and negative feedback on daily operations for improvements

Professional Development:

• Must obtain an Ohio sprayer license within six months of hire.
• Participate in company-sponsored job-related activities, events, and training to further develop your job-related skills.
