Quality Assurance Technician

ESAero is a growing aerospace company in the San Luis Obispo area and provides services which include but are not limited to: rapid system development, on-demand niche engineering, hands-on development/testing, and small UAS aerospace system manufacturing.

Job Summary:

Empirical Systems Aerospace, Inc. is seeking a full-time Quality technician to check the quality of incoming and outgoing material and products.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Carry out quality assessment measures of all the products ready to be shipped and incoming materials

• Take a thorough look at the models, specifications, and drawings to understand the product requirements

• Reject all the incoming materials that fail to meet quality expectations and report the issue to the concerned department.

• Resolving quality-related issues adhering to deadlines

• Prepare documentation of the inspection process, which includes detailed reports and performance records

• Recommend improvement measures to the production process to ensure quality control standards are met

• Guide the production team about the quality control issues to enhance the quality of the product

• Monitor the production phase at various levels

• Generate Nonconformance Reports when required.

• Assist in developing inspection standards and processes

• Assist in any facility modifications as needed

• Utilize machining tools to modify and create parts

Basic Qualifications/Requirements:

• US Citizen

• Proficiency and experience with measuring equipment such as calipers, micrometers, and dial indicators

• Technical hands-on capability with attention to detail.

• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings

• 3+ years of experience

Desired Skills/Experience:

• AS9100D

• J-STD-001 and/or WHMA/IPC-A-620

• Machining experience

• Experience with composites fabrication

• Experience with aircraft avionics

• Technical Writing: Build guides, schematics, wiring diagrams, reporting/reviewing, etc...

• Experience with parts and inventory management
