Job Description:
The Emmanuel College School of Nursing invites applications for an Assistant/Associate Professor of Nursing, to begin in Spring 23. Rank and tenure-track appointment will be determined based on prior experience and research and scholarship expectations. This is a permanent position to support growth within the Department.
The School of Nursing currently offers a BSN, RN to BSN completion program, and an MSN program in Education and Management. The School of Nursing programs are accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education.
Requirements:
Applicants must have a Massachusetts nursing license in good standing, MS in Nursing. A doctorate is strongly preferred, PhD or DNP. Clinical experience in specialty is required. The applicant must possess a minimum of two years full-time nursing experience, or its equivalent, within the last five years and evidence of clinical competence in clinical expertise and maintain expertise appropriate to teaching responsibilities. Applicants should have a body of research, be knowledgeable about grant submissions and have an established program of scholarly activities.
Teaching experience in higher education required. Applicants must have strong teaching skills with the undergraduate nursing students. Faculty in this program are expected to advise, mentor, evaluate students, conduct clinical, laboratory, face-to-face, hybrid, and/or on-line student learning activities designed to meet student and program learning outcomes. Experience in curricula development and CCNE accreditation strongly preferred.
Faculty shall participate in the governance of Emmanuel College and the School of Nursing, as appropriate, for the accomplishment of the goals of the College and School of Nursing. Faculty are expected to develop, implement and evaluate policies to include systematic evaluation data analysis, and suggest and implement areas in need of improvement. In addition, they are responsible for input in developing and evaluating the curriculum plan and perform other duties as required.
