Embree Construction Group, a national design build general contractor and developer with 30 plus years in the commercial construction industry, seeks an experienced Assistant Design Manager in the commercial construction industry. Experience working on tenant Improvement and renovation projects in the retail industry is preferred.
**Must be willing to travel to project locations. Candidate must live in the local area or be willing to relocate.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Assists Design Manager with production and quality control of project scoping documents
Coordinates outsourcing design initiatives with 3rd party consultants
Produce drawing revisions in support of RFI process
Coordinates with Procurement to ensure alignment with project scope and specifications
Performs site survey and documentation
Coordinates construction document distribution
Skills & Qualifications:
Architectural Design, Engineering or Construction Science or related equivalent degree
Prefer 1-2 years’ experience in commercial construction
Proficient with AutoCAD Architectural Desktop is required
Proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Project is required
Proficient with Plangrid construction administration software is a plus
Proficient in Bluebeam Studio a plus
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing
Basic commercial construction process and procedure fundamentals
