The Commissioning Manager will leverage their expertise to lead the Commissioning team at Emanuelson-Podas. The role is responsible for the development of Commissioning team members and oversight of all commissioning (Cx) projects. The Commissioning Manager is to ensure all projects are completed in accordance with industry best practices, while representing Emanuelson-Podas by being responsive, empathetic, relational and sharing truthful expertise. Requirements A 2- year technical degree or 4-year Bachelor degree in Engineering, Architecture, or Construction.

Eight plus years of practical experience with commercial HVAC, electrical, or building automation systems as an engineer, designer, programmer, or installer. Commissioning Certification Preferred (BCA, ASHRAE, or UoW) certifications include CCP, CxAP, CxM, CxTS) Willingness to travel up to 25%. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving aptitude.

Responsibilities Lead Commissioning team including being responsible for the professional development of staff members. Train and educate team members on commissioning process and technical competency. Build strong client relationships with existing and new clients.

Create project specific Commissioning Plans including but not limited to the development of pre-functional checklists, functional test procedures and responsibility matrix. Lead Commissioning meetings with project teams and subcontractors. Oversee and perform Field Observations that meet client expectations in identifying and documenting issues as well as proving assistance in resolving issues and discrepancies.

Comprehensive understanding of ASHRAE Guidelines and Standards and ability to communicate and implement standards into projects. Provide technical commissioning guidance with respect to HVAC, Plumbing and Control Systems. Review and comprehend project specifications, process and all applicable portions of construction and contract documents.

Lead project teams of Owners, Architects, Engineers, Manufacturers, and Contractors through the commissioning process. Review and analyze trend analysis reports and provide recommendations for system improvements. Conduct design review of project documents for conformance to design requirements, LEED, MN B3, and other sustainability programs.

Stay current with appropriate engineering and construction codes. Physical Demands of the Position Lifting/Moving: 50lbs occasionally, 20lbs frequently. Climbing/Balancing: Frequent work on step ladders, extension ladders, scaffolding, and uneven surfaces.

Walking: Extensive walking frequently required throughout a regular or extended workday. Stooping/Bending/Crawling: Frequent requirement and often necessary in confined spaces. Reaching: Frequent reaching overhead, horizontally and below feet. Driving Vehicles/Air Travel: Frequently required.
