About The Role: The Diagnostic Growth Manager (DGM) is the front line and key business partner between Ellie and veterinarians nationwide.
This position is responsible for building and managing a book of business in an assigned territory that will generate recurring cash flow. Each DGM will be paired with a dedicated Inside Sales Representative (ISR) who is focused on scheduling prospecting meetings for the DGM. They will partner with an Account Manager (AM) who will help manage clients after a successful close.
The DGM will have the opportunity to mentor and build long-term relationships with their team. This collaborative effort will be crucial in the success and growth of Ellie Diagnostics. Responsibilities: Be able to collaboratively work with your ISR to help manage the territory.
This includes sharing calendars, mapping out your territory together to work proficiently, targeting certain cities/regions of your territory. Build and actively manage your pipeline and report regularly to your manager on the strategy and status of each deal. Attend regular meetings with the executive team regarding your territory analysis and pipeline as well as provide strategic insights for corporate decisions.
Attend national tradeshows and events as needed. Coordinate local events with the support of marketing to bring in high value prospects and drive new business. Be able to create and present proposals and presentations to a variety of prospects.
Work with the Account Manager on your team to make sure new accounts are signed up effectively and sending in the expected volume of lab samples. Interact with different internal customers in a professional manner. This includes the lab, customer service, accounting, IT, and other departments Leveraging your full-time dedicated ISR to schedule prospecting meetings in geographic locations that fit your travel schedule.
Leveraging your personal sales expertise to identify new prospects and schedule your own meetings using your preferred methodologies including cold calls, clinic visits, tradeshow participation, etc. Using traditional (in-person) or virtual (zoom) sales presentations to close prospects. Candidate Requirements: 5 years of successful veterinary sales experience preferred.
High-energy attitude and excited to be successful in a fast- paced environment is required. A bachelor’s degree in business or related field is required. Proficiency in Word, Excel, and other outlook products.
Excellent communication and organization skills required. Ability to multi-task and change direction when needed. Must display a cohesive ability at interpersonal and communication skills verbally and written.
