Job Description

ElleVet Sciences, based in Portland, Maine, makes hemp-based cannabinoid soft chews and liquids for dogs and cats. ElleVet was the first company of its kind to complete pharmakinetic, safety and efficacy clinical studies for dogs, conducted at Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine. ElleVet is the leader in cannabinoid research and evidence-based products for pets and is currently conducting more than 30 R&D projects / clinical studies at leading universities and referral centers. The company has a growing direct sales force visiting veterinary clinics and pet retail stores across the country and an in-house marketing function. ElleVet controls product manufacturing from the field to the end customer.

SUMMARY

The Inside Sales Account Manager is responsible for selling products to customers and prospects over the phone within an assigned territory.  Partnering with field representatives, collaborates on territory growth, product placement and ensure customer satisfaction.  Identifies and generates demand among customers and establishes in-person and virtual meetings.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Develops product knowledge and understands how to develop customer relationship-building skills that align with the service model.
  • Establishes new customers and supports servicing and growing of existing customers to assure long-term retention.
  • Develop consultative relationships with new and existing accounts and maintain thorough understanding of ordering patterns for existing and new customers.  Develops to be the trusted advisor to our customers.
  • Continue education on product advantages to ensure customer loyalty and align with company goals.
  • Manages customer concerns and conflicts and accurately follows up in order to expedite deliveries to ensure quality and as scheduled.
  • Provides customer with appropriate product information to assure customer is equipped with the knowledge needed to make informed purchases.
  • Strives to increase revenue monthly in a specific geographic territory.
  • Maintains Salesforce with accurate profiles, notes and opportunity information.
  • Coordinate sales opportunities of our products partnering closely with field sales.

  • Demonstrated relationship building, particularly with customers.
  • Communicate clearly and concisely in written and verbal formats.
  • Strong customer service orientation.
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical functions/calculations.
  • Proven attentiveness to detail coupled with problem analysis and resolution skills.
  • Time management and organization skills, including the ability to plan and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Proven proficiency in general computer applications as well as Microsoft Office software, including Word and Excel and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software.


EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred and/or equivalent experience in sales.
  • 2+ years in sales with proven revenue-generating deliverables
  • Experience in a veterinary practice is a plus.
