Emergency Room, Rice Village's premiere Emergency Room isseeking the placement of an Associate Administrator/Nurse Director.Associate Administrator/Nurse Director Elite Care 24 Hour Emergency Room is looking for a high energy, self-motivated, passionate Associate Administrator/Nurse Director. The Associate Administrator/Nurse Directorwill manage and oversee the day-to-day operation and performance of the emergency room as well as the human, financial and capital resources of the facility.
Responsible for the planning, organizing, direction and controlling of the administrative, financial and operational activities of the emergency room. Directs daily emergency room operations under the guidance of the CEO, Medical Director and/or the Governing Board. Responsible for the overall activities of communication, scheduling and registration functions and is responsible for oversight of staff to assure consistent and high-quality service is being provided to the patients.
This position is responsible for facility wide coordination of activities and tracking of data. Essential Duties & Responsibilities • Evaluate quality of patient care, quality assurance activities and application of policies and procedures in the delivery of care. • Facility Operations- determine facility needs for supplies, equipment, and medications and evaluate new products. Monitor expirations on supplies and discard according to written policy. • Participate in physician and management meetings. Establish agenda in consultation with physicians and nurses, radiology, registration/admitting, marketing and leadership; prepares data for meetings; and contributes to decision-making. • Monitor, and modify processes to enhance quality patient care and maximize patient satisfaction. • Develop and implement operational policies. • Recommends, supports and implements organizational technology changes. • Assist in strategic planning for growth and expansion of services based on business and community needs. • Assist in the facilitation of marketing efforts by referring our services to local businesses and industry. • Ensure full compliance with all State, Federal, CDC, OSHA, Universal Precautions, TB, Infectious Waste, Joint Commission Standards, CMS and other Federal regulations for all clinical personnel. • Ensures that clinical staff are qualified and adequately trained and orientated in delivering patient care in accordance with company policies; TAC Chapter 131.45 and the Nursing Practice Act, Occupations Code Chapter 301. • Monitor facility quality indicators and develop resolution plans by working closely with regional and corporate functions such as safety and infection control. • Cooperate with the accounting department in conducting analysis and completing reports or other special projects. • Completes projects as assigned by coordinating activities with approved vendors, marketing, and promotes compliance with regulatory guidelines to include but not limited to the Texas Administrative Code; Nurse Practice Act; Patient Bill of Rights; HIPAA; and Federal; State and local regulatory agencies. • Responsible for profit and loss of the facility and participates in the preparation of the annual operating budget. • Participates in the quality assurance and improvement process to ensure comprehension and cost-effective quality care.
Directs and participates in facility wide clinical initiatives to enhance quality of care. • Determine economic aspects of equipment, facility, and new service decisions. • Responsible for screening, hiring, supervising, training, developing, counseling, conducting performance reviews, firing and enforcing policies and procedures; and ensuring optimal patient relations. • Implement, communicate and enforce all company policies and procedure to facility staff. • Responsible for ensuring that all clinical staff have their appropriate and valid credentials necessary for their respective positions. • Personally or through delegation, develops the facility schedule and meeting calendar for all departments. Conducts monthly facility staff meetings. • Schedule and/or designate work hours for all departments. Monitor PTO, absenteeism and timeliness of arrival/departure. • Build strong positive communications with physicians and work as a team to enhance the success of the facility.
