Maintenance Technician

The Maintenance Technician will perform highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production and facility equipment according to safety, predictive and productive maintenance systems, and processes to support the achievement of the sites business goals and objectives.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment
• Perform OSHA required inspections and assist with safety committee maintenance fixes
• Perform mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of production machines.
• Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
• Diagnose problems, replace, or repair parts, test and adjust.
• Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment, and plant facilities.
• Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment in performing duties.
• Detect faulty operations, defective material, and report those to and any unusual situations to Maintenance Supervisor.
• Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
• Assist/support the Maintenance Supervisor with tasks as necessary.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• High school diploma or equivalent with post-secondary education in maintenance preferred.
• 1-2 years of experience in maintenance positions in a manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of electrical wiring systems, repair work, installations, construction works, plumbing, dry walling, flooring, etc.
• Strong computer skills.
