Job Description

Warehouse Manager/Supervisor

  • Strategically manage warehouse in compliance with company’s policies and vision.
  • Oversee receiving, warehousing, distribution and maintenance operations.
  • Includes supply ordering
  • Maintenance and inspection of racking and equipment
  • Setup layout and ensure efficient space utilization.
  • Initiate, coordinate and enforce optimal operational policies and procedures.
  • Adhere to all warehousing, handling and shipping legislation requirements.
  • Maintain standards of health and safety, hygiene and security.
  • Liaise with clients, suppliers and transport companies.
  • Plan work, assign tasks appropriately and appraise results.
  • Recruit, aid in selection, orient, coach and motivate employees.
  • Job will be responsible for 8-12 employee’s depending on peak season.
    • 3-4 Drivers
    • 5-8 Warehouse Attendants/Specialists/Leads
    • Job will have quarterly conversations that will include employee development and feedback to the employee that will ultimately role up to their annual review and compensation.
  • Receive feedback and monitor the quality of services provided
  • This role will have direct responsibility for performance management, documentation of positive and negative behaviors.
  • This position will help training new employees across the footprint which will allow a consistent training standard for warehouse leadership employees/leads etc.  They will help partner with training and development team to create documents and best practices to help the company move forward with the culture of process orientation.
  • Continuous improvement team – This position will help assist the company of forming a team of process-driven individuals as well as being a part of visiting branches and helping jumpstart process improvement in those branches.
