EPHC's vision is for a thriving Latinx Community living to our fullest potential.SUN EXTENDED-DAY COORDINATOR Clear Creek Middle School Gresham, ORPart-time; 12 hours a week, Non-ExemptReports to: SUN Site Manager POSITION SUMMARY:Under the general supervision of the SUN Site Manager, this position is responsible for the day to day operation of the extended-day program at Clear Creek Middle School. SUN is a partnership of Multnomah County, the school district, and El Programa Hispano Catlico.
This position will support the SUN Site Manager in developing school based programs addressing academics, enrichment, and recreation; develop and maintain strong and positive relationships with school staff; work with school staff to ensure that programming is linked to academic curriculum; coordinate and facilitate recruitment and supervision of activity instructors; coordinate a system to ensure access to County-funded and community human and health services; develop and maintain relationships with local community providers; ensure that core services are culturally responsive to meet the needs of a large Latinx student population. PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES:Support the SUN Site Manager with the design and supervision of the SUN Community School extended day and summer programming, including fieldtrips.Support extended school day programming in administrative operations such as registration cycles, drafting documents, spreadsheets, and flyers and other clerical tasks as assigned. Lead outreach efforts to youth and families informing them about EPHC services and community resources.
Support EPHC Food Pantries & Free Food Markets Sites.Support in the recruitment of students and families for SUN programming. Attend SUN team meetings as needed. Develop and maintain relationships within EPHC, with staff, parents, community partners and social service providers.
Support school and SUN events such as Back to School Night, SUN Showcase evenings, and Parent-Teacher Conferences to connect families with EPHC and SUN Services.Coordinate volunteer needs with the EPHC Volunteer Coordinator.Organize and lead intake protocol for participant tracking in the county-wide data entry system (ServicePoint). Support the SUN Site Manager in collaboration with school staff and administration to support district outcomes and the mission of EPHC and the SUN Service System.Other duties, as assigned.QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:Excellent communication skills, both verbally and in writing in Spanish and English. High School Diploma required.
Experience working with a broad range of issues affecting Latinx community especially issues related to youth and families.Experience with community networking and organizing.Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with data entry required.Demonstrate judgment and discretion in dealing with confidential matters.Must be able to organize and prioritize work, be proactive, take initiative, follow through, and simultaneously manage multiple priorities with high attention to detail required.Willingness to learn new skills and take on new responsibilities. Strong analytical and strategic problem-solving skills. Ability to work well in team setting, as well as independently; be flexible and adapt well to different dynamics in a fast-paced work environment.Ability to work a flexible schedule, which could include some evenings or weekends.Ability to lift 40 pounds.Must have driver's license, ability to obtain automobile insurance at levels required by agency (100/300/100).
Frequent driving in the Tri-County area required. Satisfactory results from civil, criminal and motor vehicle background check required.COMPENSATION: Pay rate is $16/hr. Compensation is commensurate with skills and experience.
