Job Description

85SIXTY is looking for two (2) Human Resources and Accounting Coordinator roles. In each position, you will support the HR and Accounting departments under the supervision of the Director of Business Operations. The primary focus of these roles will be to assist with benefits administration, employee onboarding/offboarding, internal initiatives related to company culture, and AR/AP entry. This role will assist with other administrative tasks that may arise. This role has growth opportunity and may eventually provide more specialization in the role skillsets (ie/Accounting/Finance vs HR/People) of the company as we continue to grow.

85SIXTY has offices in San Diego and Denver. This position is currently remote.


  • Coordinate employee onboarding & offboarding tasks.
  • Create and maintain employee accounts across all third party providers (payroll, benefits, internal HR).
  • Serve as a point of contact with benefit administrators.
  • Attend bi-weekly Company Culture Committee meetings and assist with organization of company events, Birthday & Anniversary celebrations, and volunteer work.
  • Organize and maintain Accounting and HR records, electronic and paper, ensuring complete accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Assist with recording SOP's for both HR and Accounting processes.
  • Work with the Controller and Sr Accounting Manager to execute month-end tasks, including internal billing worksheets, vendor billing entry and client invoicing.
  • Assist with collection efforts for past due client invoices.
  • Manage Vendor W9's and Contractor information for 1099 processing.


  • 2-3 years’ experience as HR Generalist or HR Assistant.
  • 2-3 years' experience assisting with Accounting functions such as AR/AP entry.
  • General knowledge of various employment laws and practices; experience with remote workers across multiple states is highly desired.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Google Sheets/Docs, and basic QuickBooks Online experience required.
  • Extremely detail oriented and accurate with data.
  • Excellent organizational skills; able to manage multiple projects and priorities.
  • Thrives in a fast-paced, remote environment.
  • Ability to maintain the highly confidential nature of human resources work.
  • Works independently with minimal supervision on a broad variety of projects.
