FLEXIBLE HOURS that must fall in the following time frames:
Sunday: 11:30-4pm
Monday - Wednesday: 3-8pm
No Fridays or Saturdays!

GENERAL SUMMARY:
This role oversees the Fundraising Callers who contact the Foundation's family of previous and prospective donors to share the Foundation's vision and mission. The purpose of the Fundraising Call Center is to raise philanthropic support for the Foundation to enhance the programs and services at Elmhurst Hospital, while leaving every prospect "feeling good" about the phone experience.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Train, motivate and lead the Fundraising Call Center's team of Fundraising Callers during call shifts
  • Interviews, hires, orients, trains, develops and evaluates the performances of and, when necessary, disciplines and/or discharges department personnel. Provides direction, as necessary, to staff regarding sensitive and/or complex work, related problems, resolves complaints and responds to inquiries regarding department operations
  • Ensure the values and culture of the Foundation are being presented by the Fundraising Callers through regular and ongoing calling monitoring
  • Remain available at all times during calling session for Fundraising Callers and/or donor questions
  • Monitor, produce and manage the identified statistics through the provided hardware/software necessary to achieve success
  • Produce and review all Caller reports and statistical results
  • Identify patterns, trends and opportunities for improvement
  • Manage the scheduling shifts of Caller staff
  • Regularly review all program aspects with Foundation in conjunction with counsel to set goals for successful outcomes
  • Manage room logistics for call shifts, setting up materials and closing out at the end of each shift
  • Participate in solicitation of prospects
  • Keep current on Hospital/System developments/news
  • Maintain a positive work environment as part of the Foundation's team

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
  • Education, Experience and/or Skills Required:
  • + A High School Diploma or GED
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
  • Strong verbal skills to effectively communicate over the telephone
  • Strong grammar and spelling skills to effectively communicate via e-mail
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Aptitude for organization, people and non-routine situations
  • Goal oriented, making use of reports/statistics
  • Education, Experience and/or Skills Preferred:
  • + Previous supervisory experience
  • Ability to motivate and mentor others
  • Teacher or training experience
  • Fundraising experience
  • Volunteer experience
