Position Summary:

The Executive Director, Operations Governance & Portfolio Management, reporting to the Vice President, P&D is responsible for managing the business of Production & Delivery, which includes managing and monitoring a $350M department budget, ensuring all initiatives internal (across P&D and ETS) and external (vendors/partners) are monitored to ensure we are on track to achieve committed outcomes within approved budgets and timelines, managing and providing executive reporting on the progress and performance of Production & Delivery organization toward enterprise and department goals. The role will leverage business, financial, and project management best practices, through leadership of their Project Team and by managing direct and indirect project stakeholders. Establish standards, tools, and governance for capturing and communicating data-based changes to Leadership. Leads and recommends strategic improvement of organizational operations to ensure accountability and administrative efficiencies across the portfolio.

Director, Operations Governance & Portfolio Management, reporting to the Executive Director, P&D Planning and Operations is responsible for ensuring all initiatives internal (across P&D and ETS) and external (vendors/partners) are monitored to ensure we are on track to achieve committed outcomes within approved budgets and timelines. Leveraging project management best practices, through leadership of their Project Team and by managing direct and indirect project stakeholders. Establish standards, tools, and governance for capturing and communicating data-based changes to Leadership. Leads improvement of organizational operations to ensure accountability and administrative efficiencies across the portfolio.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop goals and objectives for the department that align to COO and Corporate objectives.
  • Design and implement business plans and strategies to promote the attainment of goals
  • Responsible for ensuring all initiatives internal (Across P&D and ETS) and external (Vendors/Partners) are being tracked efficiently.
  • Establish governance guidelines and procedures for P&D Governance and Portfolio management.
  • Partner with project sponsors and individual initiative owners to ensure projects are moving forward on time and on budget to ensure we achieve the outcomes committed to.
  • Ensure that the department has the adequate and suitable resources (staff capacity, budget) to complete its activities
  • Assist leadership to organize and coordinate operations and management of operations in ways that ensure maximum productivity
  • Maintain relationships with department leaders/managers/partners/vendors/suppliers
  • Gather, analyze, and interpret external and internal data and write reports, including financial and performance.
  • Develop executive-level presentations and department-wide presentations and communications for a variety of topics related to department performance, vision and strategy, balanced scorecard, project status, and department communications.
  • Review and analyze financial data to develop forecast and identify variances to forecast and opportunities to reduce department costs.
  • Manage enhancements and prioritization for each of P&D's Performance Enhancements in the individual and shared pools
  • Develop business cases and determine measurements to incorporate into P&D operation model
  • Establish and measure KPIs to ensure initiatives are being completed on time and on budget
  • Adhere to ethical standards and comply with the laws and regulations applicable to the job function.


Education, Certifications, or Special Licenses:

  • Undergraduate degree in related fields such as: Business Administration, Finance, Project Management or other areas combined with relevant work experience
  • MBA preferred
  • Relevant Years of Experience:
  • At least 10 years of combined experience in a combination of finance, project management, business management, or consulting
