Come join our team as an Infant & Toddler Teacher's Assistant and help support Educational Opportunities for Children & Families (EOCF) realize a common mission. In this role you will assist the Teacher provide and implement a developmentally appropriate early learning experience for children. Full-time, benefited, 40 hours per week. $12.42 - 13.05 DOQ

Required Education / Experience:
Child Development Associate Credential for Infants & Toddlers.
One year experience with groups of children birth to 36 months in an early childhood program setting.
Preferred Education / Experience:
Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education or Child Development, with an emphasis on groups of children birth - 36 months of age. One year experience with groups of children birth to 36 months in an early childhood program setting.
-OR-
Associate Degree, NOT in Early Childhood Education AND a Child Development Associate Credential for Infants & Toddlers, or the equivalent of 12 Early Childhood Education college credits in age-appropriate early childhood education or child development.
One year experience with groups of children birth to 36 months in an early childhood program setting.
* Bi-lingual highly desired.
Knowledge of:
Current and developmentally appropriate best practices for children age 0-3.
Principles of infant/toddler development and infant/toddler curriculum planning.
Health and safety issues for infants, toddlers, and their families.
Basic rules and principles of grammar, written and verbal communication.
Computer word processing
Ability to:
Establish consistent, stable and supportive relationships with infants/toddlers and their families.
Embrace role of parent as the primary educator and nurturer in their child's life. Promote and support attachment between parent and child.
Work to support both teen parents as well as School District families.
Adopt EOCF's commitment to supporting and strengthening -economic and educational backgrounds.
Follow licensing rules and regulations for infants and toddlers (WAC).
Maintain confidentiality of records and information.
Use the team approach to resolve problems and conflicts.
Demonstrate professional and effective written and verbal communication skills, receive information and feedback in an understanding manner, and use good judgement.
Work flexible schedule that may include evenings and weekends.
Attend appropriate staff meetings and out-of-town training sessions as assigned.
