Installation Project Coordinator

The Installation Project Coordinator be part of the Service Delivery team and manage the installation of customer infrastructure in EdgeConneX Data Centers. This position has a hybrid work schedule and requires regular travel. The Installation Project Coordinator reports to Regional Manager, Service Delivery.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Manage installation of customer infrastructure into ECX sites on time and meeting customer-defined scope.

  • Understand the customers needs and satisfy them, keep the customer in constant contact with status, and effectively communicate project expectations to the customers and team members

  • Drive safety protocols, ensure safe workplace, and enforce safety construction practices

  • Manage and report on Meet Me Room inventory and availability.

  • Understand the contractors capabilities and schedule accordingly.

  • Direct and manage multiple projects progress from beginning to end.

  • Ability to travel to sites as required (approximately 60% of the time).

    Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Proactive problem solver with strong attention to detail.

  • Strong communications, both written and verbal, in leading teams and coordinating with peers and other disciplines on driving projects/issues to closure.

  • Excellent ability to stay organized, understand priorities and schedule needs, and efficiently work on multiple projects with conflicting deadlines.

  • Strong awareness of responsibilities and sense of accountability.

  • Dedicated and effective team player with the ability to perform the tasks required to get the job done. Understanding the contractor scope of work and be ready to lend a hand.

  • Understand ones ability to make decisions and when to escalate to manager. Know when to ask questions.

  • Commitment to organizational excellence and constant awareness to seek opportunities to improve processes/quality of deliverables.

    Experience/Education

  • 1+ years of experience with construction, able to read drawings and understand construction tools.

  • Proficiency using Microsoft Office applications

  • Candidates with field experience and background in construction installation of IT, telecom, data center assets, fiber optics, networking, and gear installation are strongly encouraged to apply.
