Assistant Construction Manager
- Years work experience: 5 years minimum
- Experience with both design build and design-bid-build projects greater than $1M completed within the last 5 years
Professional licenses and experience with the following will add merit to the proposal: OSHA 30 hours training; Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response (HAZWOPER) training; experience with construction projects with requirements for conditions in the District 17 AOR (high-seismic, high-wind and coastal maritime climate conditions).
Documentation requirement includes data and records management in support of projects and programs including, project briefings, staff activities, constructability reviews, and general records management.
DESIRED: Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response (HAZWOPER) 40 hour certification, Engineer in Training (EIT), Professional Engineering (PE) and Professional Geologist (PG) licenses, and experience with the following: performing inspections of construction activities for compliance with established state and federal environmental regulations (particularly RCRA), hazardous waste compliance under RCRA Part B permits, analytical sampling methodologies and the ability to interpret analytical results as they pertain to specific site investigations and closure activities, conducting the above activities within the frameworks of CERCLA, RCA and the Alaska Administrative Code, Phase I assessments to properties under consideration for acquisition or divestiture, conducting and reviewing Hazardous Building Materials Surveys on facilities slated for demolition or renovation, supporting the development of contract specifications and/or inspections for asbestos and lead based paint assessments and abatements, supporting the development of scopes of work and cost estimates for the previously listed work, and utilizing various databases and Geographic Information System (GIS) methodologies to effectively manage data and present information.
